About This Artwork
Half Moon was inspired by a late-night walk along the cliffs of [Location Name]. The goal of this piece was to explore the limited light spectrum available at night—how greens turn to black and blues become infinitely deep.
I used a combination of cold wax medium and oil paint to build up physical layers on the canvas. The moon itself is created with impasto strokes, catching the light in the room just as the real moon catches the sun. This piece brings a sense of calm and mystery to any space.
